The Human Abstract is a metalcore/mathcore band with progressive elements from Los Angeles, California. The band’s name references a poem of the same title by William Blake.

They released their debut album Nocturne on Hopeless Records on August 22, 2006. The Human Abstract has received much critical acclaim for their skilled musicianship and ability to blend classical music with metalcore. In the past they have toured with bands such as All That Remains, Arsis, Goatwhore, God Forbid, Misery Signals, The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Protest the Hero, The Chariot, and It Dies Today. They will be touring on The Warped Tour in 2007.

Nothingface have reunited with their classic line-up of Matt Holt, Tom Maxwell, Chris Houck and Bill Gaal and have begun writing and recording new material for a new album - their first with this line-up since “Violence” in 2000.

Will the next taproot album redeem their past two?

I can only hope.

A bit softer than my normal faire, but a good band with catchy tunes none the less.

Number One Gun is a Christian rock band from Chico, California, that was most recently signed to Tooth & Nail Records. They self-released their debut EP Forever in 2002, before releasing their follow-up albums Celebrate Mistakes (2003) on Floodgate Records and Promises for the Imperfect (2005) on Tooth & Nail Records.

In 2006, Number One Gun decided to move on to different projects despite their growing success. A recently posted MySpace bulletin cleared up the state of the band, stating that Schneeweis has a new band called The North Pole Project, Keene and Mallory formed Surrogate, and Sellers plays bass in Armed for Apocalypse.

Since then, they have reunited to release The North Pole Project on January 15, 2008.

So i’ve been using this app lately called “Snackr”. It’s an Adobe Air app that scrolls your RSS on any side of your screen. I like it for the fact that it pulls random RSS from the .opml file you import and is very customizeable. If you’re a RSS junkie like me, you should give it a go.

Yeah, i figured out the other day that since i started working in IT, i’ve went from weighing 198 to 236 in the span of a few years. Granted, i got married and we have a fond taste for fast food, but no more. We have a vacation in 2 months to the beach and i am not screwing around anymore.

These are the key things i’m doing:

Exercise as much as possible, at least 30 min per day (cardio 4x a week, weights 2x a week)
Eat as little carbs as possible.
I’m using CalorieKing to track my eating., trying to stay under 1000 calories a day in addition to working out.
A gallon of lime water a day, no soda.
Tons of fruit.
Caffeine as needed.
No pills or diet meds.

This is pretty much the only area in my life that i feel i am really just plain lazy in, and its enough.

In the words of legendary Anchorman Ron Burgandy…“Oh i’ll be there, and I’m going to look good.”
