If you want to know how good a band truely is, look at their 2nd commercial album. The first album doesn’t really count because they’ve had their entire lives to write it. 97% of the time the band has been touring their asses off and gets thrown in the studio immediately to record their 2nd album.
30 Seconds to Mars = EPIC
From Zero = EPIC FAIL
One Response for "Thought of the moment"
Technically their second album was the first studio release, being that they released their first album independently. So if we’re being TECHNICAL here - 2nd album = EPIC. Third album = EPIC FAIL
36 Crazyfists = EPIC
Fall Out Boy = ??? Pretty solid!
Matchbook Romance = EPIC FAIL
Nonpoint = EPIC FAIL
Strata = EPIC FAIL (wtf was that 2nd one?? gross)
Taproot = Slight fail. By the third album they fell totally flat.
This theory is basically true for ALL nu-metal bands that had their first album come out in 2000 - 2002. By the time the 2nd one was released (2003 +) the genre was dead, gone and embarrassing.
