So because i’m posting a lot of stuff thats probably going to pertain to my specific network, i thought i would give a quick rundown on my setup.

I guess this all warrants a explanation. I’ll add it later.

Provider :

Comcast Cable Internet (No fiber here yet.)

Router :

Linksys wrt54g w/ dd-wrt micro generic firmware. (v24 is worth the upgrade, get it)

Switches :

Netgear 8 port gig switch
Some old 100m 8 port switch in the basement

Main Computers:

2x Dell Inspiron AMD Mini Towers (They were $289 a piece refurb, cant pass that up.)
Eee PC 4g - Windows XP sp2

Servers :

2x Dell Dimension 2600 series running win 2k3 server (One of these is going to turn into a UNIX box soon)
HP Laptop running win 2k3 server

Other :

1TB Mybook WD External NAS (See the story on how i got this)
PS3 - Blu-ray is sweet.
Xboxes - (2x) Running XBMC (latest T3ch build) 1 TSOP mod, 1 Softhack. Both have 100g HD’s that are fairly unused.
Ipod Touch 8g - Ziphoned.
Cat5 throughout the house (See the story on this.)
